We visited the Anglo
Australian Observatory called
Siding Spring. About thirty years
ago, it was the biggest on the
southern hemisphere. They did
resolve many mysteries in Universe
and are now specialised in
researching the 1987A Supernova. We
could make a picture behind a glass
window. The telescope with a 3,6m
diameter mirror is giant indeed. An
associated exposition has stunning
pictures and lots of information
about galaxies, quasars and so on.
It was so interesting that we
decided to visit the Australian
radio telescope in Narrabri as
well.
This morning we set the alarm
clock at 5, so we had more time for
our program, including running.
During the run we collected seeds
of a multiflora, mini sunflower.
You will see those sunflowers in
our garden in Hungary. In the mean
time we collected seeds from
delicious melon, pumpkins and some
strange trees.
